Good afternoon, i am please to announce that as a result of you voting for free embroidery designs this fortnights designs will be Vacation theme.

The designs will be emailed to you within the next 72hrs. I have to email them individualy rather than in bulk so as to avoid spam filters so it is a bit of a long task, thank you in advance for your patience.

The Vacation designs can be used for many items and projects, here in the uk we are not having that much of a glorious summer so i hope taht all my readers outside the uk are getting much better weather, and the designs leave you feeling all summary.

Embroider Bandannas
Bandannas are a great item to Embroider and the cotton fabric which they are made of is an absolute dream do work with. They easily pop in your Embroidery Machine hoop and are therefore a great Embroidery project.

What to Embroider on a Bandanna

You can do any design on a bandanna but what sells really well is pet bandannas. You can add the pets name and even have a silhouette of a bone with the name on. It is also possible to get regular orders from kennel clubs and various dog associations, i know allot of people with deaf or blind dogs that buy personalised Bandannas with a short message on to let others know that their dog is impaired. I will add some dog slogans to my next free embroidery designs poll so keep an eye out for that.

Where to sell my Personalised Bandannas

Ebay is a great start, there are a handful of sellers selling them but you can definitely come into this market with some unique designs, also bandannas are available in thousands of colours and patterns so yours will not be the same as the next persons.

Free Machine Embroidery Projects
As mentioned in my first Embroidery Project post i would over the next few days speak about items that you can embroider that are already made.

To re-cap why, i mentioned yesterday that for those of you wanting to make money embroidering it would be a good idea to source products that you could customise with an Embroidery design. When you make anything then a great deal of effort goes into it, it is hard to get the right amount of money for something you have put so much work into. So to ensure you earn money for your embroidery products why not reduce the labour, and time you spend making the item from scratch and concentrate on the embroidering.

Items you can you Embroider
This will depend on your hoops positioning, i personally find janome machines very good for fitting in those awkward items in your hoop. When your out and about shopping have a look for items you an embroider, have a feel of the fabric, if the item is padded can the pad be easily removed whilst you embroider?

You can jump into the personalised market easily if you manage to keep your costs low. A lot of people selling Personalised Embroidered items either make their products from scratch or customize a pre-made item like a towel or baby blanket. I have designed many products and made them myself from scratch, i have made money, but it can get quite a big load especially as holidays such as Xmas when orders triple. You have to think whether all the hours you put in making items from scratch is worth the money you get in the end. This may not apply to some of you, you may be doing really well and enjoy making items from scratch especially if it is just a hobby, their is no greater satisfaction than to produce a wonderful article that you made from nothing. But for the rest of you looking for items to buy at low costs and customise then i hope you find the following read of some help. Free Embroidery Projects Part 2

A good day to you all, I run a few Embroidery Sites at present and when i write articles i always add them to the site that is more relevant as Machine Embroidery can cover so many sub categories. So if you don't see a daily post on this Embroidery Design Blog then you can still get a good read on my other sites and blogs.

Now onto the subject i wanted to write to you about today....

Embroidery Projects

When i say Projects i mean things you can make with an Embroidery Machine. Whether it be for Business or pleasure there are lots of things you can make with an Embroidery Machine. The problem you often have when trying to find ideas for things to make is that there is not really any unique ideas just the same old baby blankets and bibs etc... What i have found is that there are thousands of items that are pre-made that you can embroider. As long as the item will fit in the Embroidery hoop then you can transform any item with a beautiful design.

Making something to Embroider

You can make something from scratch to Embroider if you have a sewing machine and your stitching is good, i personally don't like to do this as it is so time consuming and there is so many items already made that you can recreate into a unique product so the next few posts will be about items you can buy to Embroider.
